Off the beaten path

I had every intention of going to Desoto Falls this morning, but somewhere on the way we missed a turn. The children were getting hungry, so my friend Lucy, her father, and I made the decision to check out Copper Creek which was only a couple miles up the road. Located in the Chattahoochee National Park this camp area turned out to be perfect for the children. They had a blast playing in the creek! Andrew was happy in chasing the butterflies and throwing in the occasional rock. Afterwards, we headed into Helen where we stopped at Hofer's Bakery. Sometimes good things happen when you get off the beaten path.
